At Hitachi Energy, a missing or defective solder joint can lead to costly scrap if it goes undetected and the product continues through production.

Vigil Vision supports operators with an additional quality check directly at the soldering station. When the operator finishes, a camera captures an image of the product. If a solder joint appears to be missing or does not meet the quality criteria, a warning light alerts the operator to inspect and correct the issue before the product moves forward.

By catching potential defects while they can still be corrected, Hitachi Energy can reduce the risk of scrapping high-value products and avoid unnecessary production costs. At the same time, the collected inspection data provides valuable insights that help Hitachi better understand quality performance and continuously improve its production process.
